One of the greatest benefits of working in coalition with other Climate Justice and Environmental groups is the ability to leverage the work of others and to be able to focus on issues of particular importance. For Unitarian Universalists, our focus is on Justice, a core value for our faith. This is certainly not to say that other issues are not important or that they do not play a part in our core issues. The strength of working in a coalition is that every member of the coalition brings their core issues (and, of course, their knowledge and enthusiasm) to the table. This is diversity of thought at its highest expression!
There are several organizations with greater resources than we have that sponsor Lobby Nights near the beginning of the Session. Often, they are organized by counties and Legislators from that county are invited to present their bill and answer constituents' questions and solicit their input.
Below is information about several Lobby Nights that UULM-MD Climate Change members may wish to join. Please consider joining one of the Lobby Nights!
